Have a talent or special expertise you’d like to share? Your schedule doesn’t fit with some of our scheduled activities? Don’t like to be part of a larger group? Does your bucket list include different areas of Colombia?

Friends for Colombia’s mission is to help people experience Colombia while also sharing their talents through service to others. We work with interested people to customize trips to various cities and regions of Colombia where they can experience the diversity of cultures while also serving in the work of Colombian nonprofits.

We have affiliations and contacts with nonprofit organizations throughout Colombia. We can organize a schedule of seminars and activities that incorporate your talents and interests for serving others. You will also be able to get to know the people and culture of the areas visited.

Examples of some of the seminar topics which may be addressed include nutrition, personal hygiene, customer service, business basics, motivation, parenting, communication, medical training, leadership, Bible studies, personal testimonies and more. Other activities that can also be performed include arts and crafts, English language training, medical care, light construction, counseling, sports and recreation or other talents and interests you may have.

Friends for Colombia coordinates all of the arrangements and scheduling, lodging and local transportation and also provides translators, as necessary. We will work with you to determine where your areas of interest and expertise may be most applicable and help tailor presentations or activities that apply to the various organizations and their specific needs. Speaking Spanish is not a requirement since we have translators. The only requirement you need is the ability to smile and hug!
